Additionally, our parish family continues to radiat energy as we welcome Fr. Dandu. God is truly moving among us this season.

BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined together for our Sunshine Refreshment reception to welcome Fr. Dandu. It was a beautiful morning of fellowship, and we are grateful to everyone who attended, extended a warm greeting, and offered their prayers for him as he begins his journey with us.

Beyond welcoming Fr. Dandu, it was a true community celebration—we even came together as a family to sing Happy Birthday to one of our wonderful fellow parishioners! Your incredible hospitality and joy truly showed the spirit of St. Scholastica, and we are all so excited for the guidance and shepherdship under Fr. Dandu.

Our Youth Ministry spent this past Tuesday making a massive impact right here at home. A fantastic group of participants stepped up for Go MAD (Go Make a Difference), putting their faith into action by dedicating their day to local service hours throughout our community. To make an already wonderful day even better, Fr. Dandu stopped by to share in a special time of Adoration and celebration with the youth, wrapping up a powerful day of hard work, fellowship, and faith.

Please keep the many participants from our youth ministry in your prayers this weekend as they attend the Steubenville Youth Conference. We pray for their safe travel, for open hearts to receive God’s grace during the conference. Thank you for surrounding our youth with your prayers as they embark on this powerful weekend of faith and fellowship!

A message from Holy Trinity Catholic Parish:

As Fr. Norbert prepares to begin a new chapter in his retirement, we invite our Holy Trinity family to join us in giving thanks to God for his presence and ministry in our parish.

Although retired from active parish leadership, Fr. Norbert continued to generously serve our community through the celebration of the Eucharist, the sacraments, and his quiet pastoral presence. We are grateful for the time he spent with us at Holy Trinity and for the many ways he shared God’s love with our parish family.

As part of this transition, Fr. Norbert will be moving to Saint Joseph the Worker House in Chicago, a Resurrectionist community residence where he will be surrounded by his fellow Resurrectionist priests. There, he will receive the care, companionship, and support he deserves while remaining within his religious community.

Please continue to keep Fr. Norbert in your prayers as he begins this new chapter. May the Lord bless him with peace, good health, comfort, and the joy of being surrounded by his Resurrectionist brothers.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of Fr. Norbert and for his faithful years of priestly service. As he enters this transition of retirement, bless him with Your peace, protect him with Your loving care, and surround him with the support and companionship of his Resurrectionist community. Grant him good health, strength, and the comfort of knowing he remains a cherished member of the Holy Trinity family. May Mary, Mother of Priests, watch over him always, and may Your grace sustain him each day.

This weekend marks Fr. Norbert’s final Sunday celebrating the July 12th, Sunday 7:00 AM Mass at Holy Trinity before his move.

Following after every Sunday Mass of 7AM, 9AM and 11AM, everyone is warmly invited to join us for a simple reception with coffee and sweet treats—some of Fr. Norbert’s favorites—as we express our gratitude, wish him well, and assure him of our continued prayers and friendship.

A Swing and a Prayer Golf Outing

Join Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet for A Swing and a Prayer, our annual golf outing benefiting programs and services that provide hope, help, and support to individuals and families throughout the Diocese of Joliet.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, Lemont.

Enjoy a day of golf, fellowship, and fun while supporting the important programs and services provided by Catholic Charities. Golfers will receive 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch at the turn, drinks on the course, cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and the opportunity to participate in contests and win prizes.
