The Baptism of Your Child
Congratulations of the birth of your child! God has surely blessed you most abundantly. We are honored to celebrate this Sacrament of Initiation into the Church with you and your family.
Many staff and volunteers will assist you along the process. Your Baptism Coordinator is a volunteer who will attend your Baptism along with the Priest or Deacon who will perform the Baptism. The parish staff will coordinate the process, assist with the Baptism Class, publish the congratulatory announcement in the bulletin and more. We’re all here to serve you.
We celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Families are invited to attend the Noon Mass, with the Baptism ceremony celebrated at a 1:30pm. No Baptisms are celebrated during Lent. Baptism is a community sacrament of welcoming your child into our Catholic Faith Community. To best serve you, Baptisms are limited to four families, with priority given to Registered Parishioners of our Parish and private Baptisms outside of the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month are not offered at St Scholastica.
To begin the Journey towards Baptism, please fill out the Baptismal Arrangement Form found below. There is a $75 donation for the Baptismal process. Once your completed Baptism Arrangement Form and donation have been received in the Parish Office, we will reach out to you to complete all the preparations for this beautiful Sacrament of Initiation, including confirming a Baptism date and scheduling Baptismal Prep Class.
