Hello, Friend,
Mid-September brings on the harvest of the season, and nature reminds us that the seeds we scatter always return to us. When we sow mercy and have compassion, we reap a rich harvest of inner peace, healing, and genuine joy. Because God’s love for us is so limitless and generous, every act of forgiveness and compassion becomes an opportunity to share in His goodness. This Sunday, we are invited to drop the heavy weight of old debts and step into the light, unburdened and ready to gather the bountiful peace Christ offers each of us.
May God grant your prayers and desires this week and beyond. Please let the parish staff know how we can serve you!
God bless ~ Frs. Mark & Asirvadam, and your parish

Anointing of the Sick is one of the seven sacraments in the Catholic Church. It provides physical, mental, and spiritual comfort, peace, and strength to someone facing a grave illness, advanced age, or a major medical procedure.
Once you are anointed, you will always have the sacrament. The spiritual grace and blessing you receive from the anointing are permanent gifts to your soul. Unlike Baptism or Confirmation, you can receive Anointing of the Sick multiple times throughout your life. If you recover from an illness and fall sick again later, a priest can anoint you again to grant fresh strength and grace.
A priest or bishop performs the sacrament by laying hands on the individual, praying over them, and applying the Oil of the Sick.
If you or a loved one would like to be anointed, please call the parish office at 630.985.2351 x120 or email parishoffice@stsparish.org.
St. Scholastica will also be having an Anointing of the Sick Mass on Saturday, November 14, at 4:30 p.m.
